IACRN Special Interest Groups (SIGs)

Purpose
The International Association of Clinical Research Nurses (IACRN) offers the opportunity for members to form Special Interest Groups (SIGs).

SIGs are developed and led by current IACRN members interested in a common topic related to clinical research nursing, including but not limited to:

  • Specialty area
  • Practice setting
  • Professional practice
  • Policy

They provide members a platform with which to congregate and work together on initiatives and/or problems related to a common interest. SIGs have the overarching goal of advancing CRN practice by identifying and attaining long-term and short-term goals relevant to their mission. SIGs support the IACRN’s strategic plan by advancing CRN practice, promoting leadership and advocacy in the Clinical Research Enterprise, and offering professional development opportunities for its members.

Current SIGs

  • Advanced Practice RNs
  • Gene Therapy
  • Global Connect
  • Oncology
  • Pediatrics

If you are interested in starting a SIG, please reach out to [email protected]. The IACRN and Communities of Practice Committee is able to help with SIG start-up, ongoing program development, advertising, and recruiting membership.
