In today’s dynamic and rapidly evolving global landscape of clinical research, the professional development needs of Clinical Research Nurses (CRNs) are more important than ever. Across the specialty, CRNs bring diverse backgrounds, experiences, and levels of expertise—from those entering the field as novices to those practicing with advanced, highly specialized skills. Together, through their international collaborative practice, CRNs play a vital role in driving progress, ensuring quality and safety, and elevating the clinical research enterprise.
Spark & Sustain 2026 will highlight the evolution of clinical research nursing, emphasizing the specialty’s growing influence and forward momentum. Central to this advancement is the CRN’s commitment to partnering with patients and research participants, whose experiences, needs, and voices drive meaningful progress in clinical research. This conference aims to champion that progress—by elevating accomplishments, advancing the ethical integrity of the specialty, and igniting new pathways for growth. We invite abstracts that demonstrate innovation, leadership, and visionary contributions that propel the specialty forward and “spark and sustain” excellence in people, practice, and progress.

Presentation Advisor A presentation advisor is like a friendly guide who helps you turn your abstract into a clear, engaging conference presentation. They offer simple tips on structuring your message, highlighting your key findings, and designing slides that support (not distract from) your talk. They also help you anticipate audience questions and build confidence, so you feel prepared and polished when it’s time to present. If you select "yes, consultation," under the Presentation Preference and Presentation Advisor section of the abstract submission form in Whova, we will match you with an experienced presentation advisor from the IACRN Research Committee.
Financial Disclosure Form(s) For your abstract to be reviewed, you must complete one Financial Disclosure Form (FDF) with credentials for each author. For example, if you have eight authors, you should submit eight completed FDFs merged into a single PDF document. Instructions for merging multiple documents into a single PDF can be found HERE.
Please retrieve the financial disclosure form from the link above. Complete the form individually for each author including their credentials, then merge the documents into one PDF using the video instructions above. Please contact Amanda ([email protected]) or Ellie ([email protected]) if you are unable to upload all the forms in one attachment.
